  • Sour cream - 4 tbsp. spoons
  • Cheese - 250 g
  • Onions - 2-3 pcs.
  • Carrots - 3 pcs.
  • Salt - to taste
  • Spices for meat - to taste

Rinse the meat with cold running water, dry and cut into portions into chops.

Try to cook chops from fresh, not frozen meat, so the taste will be richer.

Cover each piece with cling film.

Salt and pepper the pork on both sides.

Fry the onions and carrots in a frying pan in vegetable oil until half cooked.

Onions and carrots will serve as a vegetable bed for the chops.

Grease a baking sheet lightly with vegetable oil, lay out the vegetables in portions, and place the chops on top.

Distribute the pre-soaked prunes over the meat.

Spread sour cream on top and sprinkle with grated cheese. Place the baking sheet in the oven preheated to 200 degrees for 30-40 minutes.

These are such juicy and very flavorful baked chops.

Chops with potatoes are an excellent option for a holiday dish, which can be served either separately or as a side dish. The choice of meat is not fundamental: pork or lamb is most often used. Total cooking time is 50 minutes. You can change the set of spices at your discretion, and use mayonnaise or sauce instead of ketchup.

Ingredients:

  • potatoes – 2-3 pieces;
  • pork or chicken – 200 grams;
  • garlic – 1 head;
  • thyme – 1 pinch;
  • ketchup (mayonnaise) - to taste;
  • ground black pepper, salt - to taste.

Recipe for chops with potatoes

1. Peel the garlic, first cut the cloves in half, then into thin slices.

2. Cut the meat into pieces no more than 1 cm thick, rinse under running water, dry with paper napkins, then rub with salt and pepper.

3. Beat the pork (chicken) on both sides, stuffing it with garlic as shown in the photo.

4. Wash the potatoes, peel them, cut them into slices (about 1 cm thick).

5. Grease each piece of meat with ketchup, then place it between two potato slices (sandwich principle), wrap in foil and seal the edges so that the juice does not leak out.

6. Place the chops in the oven preheated to 220°C. Bake for 20 minutes, then open the foil slightly so that the meat browns slightly. Bake for another 10-15 minutes until done.

7. Place the chops and potatoes on a plate, cool for 5-7 minutes, and serve.
